El Costeno Surf Camp is a tour company dreamed up by a pair of brothers who enjoy surfing, fell in love with the people and culture of Colombia and wanted to share these passions with the world.

El Costeno Surf Camp is primarily located at the "rio mendijuaca", on the exotic Caribbean Coast of Colombia, (here is a view of where we are located via google maps) only a few minutes away from Parque Tayrona.  Our friendly staff members will make your vacation as organized and worry free as possible so that you can enjoy every second of your trip to its fullest.

Brian came to Colombia from Canada to attend school at the Universidad del Norte in Barranquilla and immediately fell in love with all aspects of the country. He has surfed Spain, Ireland, and California, and enjoys the friendly environment, warm waters, and natural beauty of the surf in Colombia. Brian is a student of language and is fluent in Spanish and English, but is currently learning French and Portuguese as well to better assist guests that may use or want to learn these languages.

 Colm, decided to visit his brother and take a surf adventure to Colombia in 2006. He was amazed with the generosity, patience and understanding of the people he met even though he did not speak Spanish. Colm returned 2 years later learning about Colombian language and culture while traveling around the country. After surfing Australia and California the tranquil line-ups and laidback attitudes of Colombia were exactly where he wanted to be.

Jose Pablo Esconte and Daniel Olmos are experienced local surfers, and know the waters extremely well.  They are great teachers and excited to help you learn to surf and learn about their great country.
